The small town Brewster Cafe is owned by its successful owner Abby, until her waitress is mysteriously missing, she then becomes the bumbling detective.
 
Abby rushes to Laura's apartment unprepared for whatever she finds. Abby, overwhelmed with clues, contacts the local police who aren't convinced she is missing.
 
Shaken and impatient, Abby enlists the assistance of her entangled cook and a retired army physician. They sniff out many clues, leading to other disturbing clues, many placed as a distraction.
 
As they get closer to solving the crime – it becomes evident they are putting their lives in danger.
 
It becomes clear that these amateur detectives are mixing the wrong recipe, having bitten of more than they can chew as their lives are becoming endangered. Abby's team brews up a simple solution as they must act fast.
 
It's solve it now – or Laura may never be found alive.
